The story
A familiar habit.
A tool of my own.
I went from Quicksilver to Alfred, then to Raycast. Eventually, I started thinking about trust. I couldn’t fully see what these tools were doing, so I wasn’t entirely comfortable relying on them. Looking at how I actually used them, I also realized I only needed a small part of what they offered.
With AI agents helping out, making my own had become a lot less work. So I gave it a try. I could keep the code in my hands, focus on the few features I needed, and spend more time making them as fast as possible. I could make everything work the way I liked, without having to please everyone. That’s how Cue happened.
Feel free to fork it and bring your own agent along to make it yours. Add what you want, take out what you don’t. Hopefully this starting point saves you a few tokens and some of the work of building from scratch.
And if you just want a lightweight, open-source launcher without changing anything, you’re welcome to use it as it is.
